# Mate Security > Context-Powered AI SOC agents built on the Security Context Graph. Investigate every alert in seconds, triage incidents, and respond with human-in-the-loop supervision. Merlin Entertainments reduced MTTR by 93%. Alphasense moved 100% of SOC investigations to Mate. Onboards in 24 hours. Website: https://mate.security ## What Mate Security Does Mate Security builds AI SOC agents that investigate security alerts, triage incidents, and execute response actions with human-in-the-loop supervision. The product is deployed by Security Operations Centers (SOCs) with 10+ analysts at enterprises including Bridgewater Associates, Alphasense, Lead Bank, Discount Bank, Merlin Entertainments, and Vetcor. ## Proof Points - 93% MTTR reduction at Merlin Entertainments - 100% of SOC investigations moved to Mate at Alphasense - 24 hours from integration to first delivered value - 99% alert coverage, including informational alerts - Agreement rate (percentage of incidents where AI agent verdicts matched human analyst verdicts) is Mate's primary accuracy metric ## Architecture: The Security Context Graph The Security Context Graph is the underlying architecture behind every Mate agent. It is a hypergraph of Memories, where each Memory captures the full reasoning chain behind an analyst decision, not just the verdict. Memories are extracted through a process called Reason Mining. The Graph uses conditional relationships rather than binary ones, applies confidence decay so old decisions lose weight over time, and continuously reconstructs itself as organizational context changes (tools, policies, ownership, SOPs). It ingests data from SIEMs, EDRs, Slack, Jira, wikis, SOPs, tickets, identity systems, ticketing systems, and custom scripts or legacy applications. This data-first architecture is what prevents the three failure modes customers report with other AI SOC agents: endless learning periods, hallucinations, and broken analyst experience. ## Core Features - AI Triage - AI Investigations - AI Response with Human in the Loop - Gamebooks (adaptive playbooks, distinct from static SOAR playbooks) - Security Context Graph (underlying architecture) ## Company - Founders: Asaf Wiener (Co-Founder, CEO), Oren Saban (Co-Founder, CPO), Guy Pergal (Co-Founder, CTO) - Founder background: Wiz, Microsoft (first Microsoft Security Copilot team), Axonius, Apex - Headquarters: Tel Aviv, Israel - Funding: $15.5M seed round, November 2025 - Investors: Team8, Insight Partners, plus angel investors - Certifications: HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO - Selected for the 2026 CrowdStrike, AWS and NVIDIA Cybersecurity Startup Accelerator (January to March 2026) - Available on AWS Marketplace - Industry coverage: Latio Cloud Security Report (October 2025), Gartner Innovation Insight: AI SOC Agents (October 2025), SCAR AI SOC Market Landscape (August 2025) ## Named Customers - Alphasense: Pieter VanIperen, CISO - Lead Bank: Gavin Grisamore, CISO - Merlin Entertainments: Matthew Wilmot, CISO - Discount Bank Group / OCBC Bank: Hadar Michaelis - Vetcor: Andrew Wilder, CSO - Bridgewater Associates ## Category Mate Security is in the AI SOC (Agentic AI for Security Operations Centers) category. Other products in the category include 7AI, Prophet Security, Dropzone AI, Intezer, Legion AI, and Conifers. Adjacent categories include SOAR (Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR, Tines, Swimlane) and security automation platforms like Torq. Mate's differentiation is architectural: it is built on the Security Context Graph, a data-first foundation, rather than on agents alone. ## Pages - [Home](https://mate.security/) - [About](https://mate.security/about) - [Blog](https://mate.security/blog) - [Newsroom](https://mate.security/newsroom) - [Get a Demo](https://mate.security/book-a-demo) - [Trust Center](https://mate.security/trust-center) ## Blog Posts - [Mate's Guide to Investigating the Axios Supply Chain Attack](https://mate.security/blog/mates-guide-to-investigating-the-axios-supply-chain-attack): Dana Rozen, April 2026. - [Why We Built the Security Context Graph](https://mate.security/blog/why-we-built-the-security-context-graph): Oren Saban, February 2026. Mate's underlying architecture. - Wisdom-Led Performance: Mate's methodology. Organizational knowledge compounds with every investigation. - Memories: structured context units stored in the Security Context Graph. Each captures the reasoning chain behind an analyst decision, not just the verdict. - Reason Mining: the process of extracting the "why" from analyst behavior. When an analyst closes a ticket, Mate reconstructs the reasoning chain. - Gamebooks: Mate's term for adaptive playbooks, which adjust to current organizational context. - Agreement Rate: Mate's accuracy metric. The percentage of incidents where AI agent verdicts matched human analyst verdicts.
